  Why do hotel rooms have carpet? They get dirty, stained, worn, smell, and usually are just gross. Being this my first vacation since the pandemic started and me being sort... read more of a germaphobe I liked that this property’s pictures showed new flooring in the rooms rather than carpet. May seem trivial, but as a practical person, I put that in the ‘pro column’. Having a full kitchen was another plus. On premise free parking also a plus. A decent sized swimming pool. And basically oceanfront. The beach is so wide, it takes a few minutes to reach the waters edge. And the Wildwood boardwalk is about a mile away. If you like walking (I do) and the weather is nice (it was), I got my steps in. Normally I stay at chain hotels since I have lots of points from business travel. But this beach area of New Jersey, south of Atlantic City, doesn’t have those types of properties. Wildwood reminded me of New Jersey beach towns back in the 60’s when I was a youngster in NJ. But the town and the Crusaders property has been well maintained. I wouldn’t call it a ‘resort’ but I would return for a repeat visit.

You have always... read more gone above and beyond our expectations and we thank you all for that! The pool and sauna are my personal favorite, although you can't beat the view for the fireworks either! The restaurant is plus and the take out spot is a great perk especially for a long day on the beach! Beautiful ocean views too, although we prefer the street view because we get to see all those beautiful Hot Rods! We've met so many nice people over the years, many we consider close friends now. That's just one more reason we look forward to coming back every year! Listen, I could write a book but let me just leave it like this.
